Be a part of history at the 2010 Detroit Historical Society Ball on Friday, December 3 from 6:30 p.m. – midnight at the Argonaut Building, now the College for Creative Studies’ A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education. For the third year in a row, the Ball features famous Detroiters – including WXYZ-TV Channel 7’s Alicia Smith, Detroit News columnist Neal Rubin, attorney Norman Yatooma and others — in a “Dancing with Detroit’s Stars” competition.
This year’s Ball also includes live and silent auctions, with proceeds supporting the Society’s exhibition and educational programs at the Detroit Historical Museum and Dossin Great Lakes Museum.
Sponsors of the 2010 Ball include St. John Providence Health System, General Motors, Wolverine Packing Co., Comerica Bank, MGM Grand Detroit, Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan and Baker Tilly.
For tickets, call 313-833-4143. Benefactor tickets are $600 per person, patron level tickets are $300 and Junior Patron level (35 and under) are $150. Platinum History Sponsor tables are available for $10,000, Silver History Sponsor tables are $7,500 and Gold History Sponsor tables are $4,000.
