Business Briefs: Foundation director
Yatooma’s Foundation For The Kids, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing guidance and stability to families with children who have suddenly lost a parent, has named Pam Wong executive director.
Most recently, Wong advised clients as principal in Connecting the Dots, LLC. She also has held leadership positions with such organizations as the Michigan Department of Education and Ascension Health.
Said Norman Yatooma, founder and president of Yatooma’s Foundation For The Kids, “Pam’s history of dedication to the community and active leadership in organizations designed to better people’s lives, as well as her passion for our mission, make her a valuable asset in our ability to help more families in our region suffering the loss of a parent.”
An active member of the volunteer community, Wong has been recognized for her dedication to helping others. She was honored as Volunteer of the Year by the American Heart Association and named Horizon Award Winner for outstanding community service and leadership by the Human Rights Council, City of Detroit. She currently volunteers with the Plymouth-Canton Community Literacy Council and serves on the Advisory Committee for Starr Commonwealth.
Wong earned her Masters of Business Administration from the Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management at Northwood University and her Bachelor of Arts with honors from Michigan State University. She currently resides in Plymouth.
