Pam Wong named new director for Yatooma’s Foundation for the Kids
Yatooma’s Foundation for the Kids has named Pam Wong, a former chief of staff for the Michigan superintendant of education, as its executive director.
She succeeds board member Jaime Rae Turnbull who had served as interim executive director since spring. The foundation is for children who have lost a parent.
Turnbull replaced Jennifer Viano, the foundation’s first-ever executive director, hired in November, 2008, who left to become CEO of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Foundation in Birmingham.
Before joining Yatooma’s Foundation, Wong was a principal with Plymouth-based consulting company Connecting the Dots LLC,
She also previously served as vice president of communications at Ascension Health.
Founded by Birmingham attorney Norman Yatooma, Yatooma’s Foundation provides support services for children who have suddenly lost one or both parents.
